This is what job search planning looks like. You take several micro actions to piece together a plan that will help you reach your end goal and ideally land your next job opportunity. Simple right? 😁 It’s so exciting to imagine all the possibilities and all the places you’ll go. But then you realize you need to put in the work, time and consistency so you begin to feel overwhelmed and doubtful about your capabilities. I get it. It’s happened to me. So I came up with a strategy within the context of creating daily micro actions to reach my goal. I work with clients utilizing these ideas in order to work around these negative thoughts, and create a focused strategy. I’m fascinated by the idea of cultivating one’s full potential. Maslow coined the term “Metamotivation” describing the motivation of people who strive for constant betterment. It takes daily practice. For me, my early morning dog walks, exercise, meditation are always a part of a winning ritual to set myself up for success. My weeks are often planned but I always leave room for inspired action. Much of my metamotivation comes from aligning myself to take action on the work that gives me joy while trying new things.
