This is what job search planning looks like. You take several micro actions to piece together a plan that will help you reach your end goal and ideally land your next job opportunity. Simple right? 😁 It’s so exciting to imagine all the possibilities and all the places you’ll go. But then you realize you need to put in the work, time and consistency so you begin to feel overwhelmed and doubtful about your capabilities. I get it. It’s happened to me. So I came up with a strategy within the context of creating daily micro actions to reach my goal. I work with clients utilizing these ideas in order to work around these negative thoughts, and create a focused strategy. Early on in my career I had a boss who I admired very much. He was the epitome of style, culture and confidence. I knew that working with him was a step in the right direction because he was honest, bold and unapologetic. He challenged me but also supported my career ambitions. Moving to NYC to pursue career growth in the fashion industry was essential and while I did not have a 5 year plan, I did have a clear vision. It was a bold move and we did it! I landed in the city and created my own job opportunity, developing my intrapreneurial skills by building an in-house production division, working with top talent producing fashion shows and national campaigns. It was a dream come true! The right support was so empowering to make that move.
